The mold is composed of a movable mold and a fixed mold, which respectively form the two cavities of the product. Separate lines are set at a reasonable position, which can be curved or straight. However, when the mold is closed, the material The pressure will enter the joints of the mold, and this mark is the parting line. What Is Injection Molding？

Plastic injection molding uses the rotating pressure of the screw of the injection molding machine to press the melted plastic into the mold cavity, and evenly flow to each corner of the injection molded part through the injection port, and also flow into the middle of the fixed mold and the movable mold. In the link gap, a parting line is formed.

Injection molds are usually made of mold steel or aluminum alloy. There are at least two parts: a fixed mold (ejection mold) and a movable mold (injection mold). The injection mold with complex structure will be equipped with many mechanical sliding blocks or spiral hinges. And it is necessary to reasonably set up the mold cooling system-runner, to help the material be injected into the mold cavity and cool down and shape, so that we get a product that fits the mold.
